Call for proposals for supporting inter-municipal cooperation projects in Poltava Oblast

On 22 October 2014, a Call for proposals for supporting inter-municipal cooperation projects in Poltava Oblast was launched in the city of Poltava. It is a joint initiative of the Reform of Municipal Services in Eastern Ukraine Project implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine, Poltava Oblast Council and Poltava Oblast State Administration. The Agreement on the organization and holding of the Call for proposals for local communities based in Poltava Oblast was signed during the kick-off meeting.

The objective of the Call for proposals is to select inter-municipal cooperation projects aimed at solving common problems for several local communities (hereinafter - projects) to be financed through the budget funds and other sources not prohibited by law, for the purpose of solving common problems in the development of communities.

The Call for proposals participants are executive authorities and local self-governments of Poltava Oblast which would submit inter-municipal cooperation project proposals for the consideration by the Selection Committee.

It is assumed that the co-financing of projects will be implemented by the partners of the Call for proposals, inter alia, at the expense of budget funds and other sources not prohibited by law, community-winners and the German-Ukrainian Cooperation Project.

Following the consideration of all project proposals 5 shortlisted projects will receive a guaranteed co-financing from the German-Ukrainian Cooperation Project.
